As the forest fires in the Yeongnam region continued for six days, stars rolled up their sleeves one after another amid a procession of sharing from all walks of life to help the affected areas.

According to the Hope Bridge Disaster Relief Association on the 26th, singer Lee Chan-won donated 100 million won to recover from forest fires. Lee Chan-won is from Ulju-gun, Ulsan, one of the affected areas.

The agency said Lee Chan-won decided to donate as damage was also caused to Ulju-gun, his birthplace.




National MC Yoo Jae-seok also donated 50 million won. Yoo Jae-seok, who is not on the list of national disaster donations, also contributed 50 million won to the fire to help recover the damage. He donated a total of 1.05 billion won to Hope Bridge.

An agency official said, "We decided to donate after Yoo Jae-seok received the news of the forest fire damage, hoping that it would help the affected residents in a small way.""We hope that those who are suffering from a sudden disaster will recover their daily lives as soon as possible."," he said.

Actor Chun Woo-hee also offered 40 million won. Chun Woo-hee donated to Hope Bridge to support forest fire damage and firefighters active at the disaster site.

Broadcaster Lee Hye-young also donated 20 million won to support forest fire damage. Lee Hye-young is also a member of Hope Bridge Honors Club, a high-value donation club for Hope Bridge.

Meanwhile, 27,000 people are evacuating from the Uiseong forest fire that swept the northern and eastern regions of Gyeongsangbuk-do, counting 18 deaths as of 9 a.m. on the 26th.
