JYP Entertainment Donates 500 Million Won for Wildfire Relief

JYP Entertainment donated 500 million won to World Vision, a social welfare corporation, to help local residents and children's families affected by large wildfires in Gyeongnam and Gyeongbuk.

The donation will be used to guarantee the right to live for more than 10,000 people eligible for emergency support for forest fire damage in Uiseong and Sancheong-gun, and to support their psychological and emotional recovery. It includes support for emergency relief items such as blankets and daily necessities kits, emergency living expenses and subsidies for home appliances, and psychological and emotional support for residents and children.

JYP Entertainment said, `We express our deepest sympathy to the victims who lost their homes due to the sudden forest fire, and hope that local residents and children who are struggling will gain hope and return to their daily lives as soon as possible.'

JYP Entertainment previously delivered 300 million won to World Vision in March 2022 for children and victims of large-scale forest fires in Gangwon and Gyeongbuk, and 500 million won for children and local residents affected by the earthquake in Turkey and Syria in February 2023.

JYP Entertainment is organizing CSR (corporate social responsibility) activities and actively developing various social contribution projects in order to return the support and love received from the public to society.

Starting with the end-of-year charity concert held at Samsung Medical Center in 2002 and delivered joy to patients in the pediatric ward, from 2019, under the catchphrase 'EDM (Every Dream Matters!: All Dreams in the World Are Important), 'EDM Treatment Expenses Support Project' is providing financial support for children with incurable diseases, 'EDM Wish Achievement Project' is a project to boost hope by emotionally supporting children with incurable diseases, and 'Love Earth' is an eco-friendly project to foster a healthier life.
