Yoon Il-sang → Jeong-nyeon, the original author, discusses overcoming the cultural industry crisis

The first (semi) cultural power network National Assembly debate will be held in the 8th meeting room of the National Assembly Hall at 4 p.m. on the 7th.
Under the theme of 「Dialogue for a Cultural Power」 - Crisis in Cultural Industry and Cultural Policy, this forum will explore the direction of Korean cultural policy and discuss the establishment of a sustainable cultural ecosystem.
The forum is co-hosted by Rep. Jeon Jae-soo, chairman of the National Assembly's Culture, Sports and Tourism Committee, Lim Oh-kyung, Kim Yoon-deok, Min Hyung-bae, Park Soo-hyun, Lee Ki-heon, Kang Yoo-jeong, Yang Moon-seok, Jo Gye-won, and Kim Jae-won, and is organized by the (jun) Culture Power Network. Experts from various fields such as culture and arts, content, and sports will participate to discuss the challenges and opportunities facing Korean cultural policy
Professor Kim Jae-beom of Kyung Hee University's Department of Culture and Arts Management will lead the event, and Professor Jeong Jong-eun of Pusan National University's Department of Arts and Culture and Imaging will present the keynote on the theme of 「Historical Issues and Future Tasks of Korean Cultural Policy」. After that, experts in each field, including movies, dramas, K-pop, webtoons, literature, sports, and local culture, will continue the discussion.
Ko Young-jae, CEO of IndiePlug, is an independent film production and distribution expert and shares his opinions on how to create an independent film ecosystem and popularize it. Yoon Il-sang, who has produced numerous hit songs such as "I Want to See You" (Kim Bum-soo) and "Lee Seung-chul) since the 1990s, will discuss the direction of strengthening the global competitiveness of K-pop, while Seo Yire, who wrote webtoons 'Jeongnyeon', 'Girl'Hang', and 'Lana', will talk about the elements of anxiety in the webtoon industry in 2025 and the need to improve the working environment of creators, while Park Moon-sung, a soccer commentator who has broadcasted major international competitions including the 2002 World Cup, will discuss the sports ecosystem as a public good.
In addition, former center director Kang Seung-jin, who served as the head of the Chuncheon Cultural City Center and promoted local culture revitalization and civic participatory cultural projects, proposes ways to change the quality of cultural administration and innovate local cultural policies. They will present the direction of Korean cultural policy in their respective specialties and hold in-depth discussions to find ways to support the sustainable growth of the cultural industry and creators.
Lee Woo-jong, Chairman of the Cultural Power Network, said, `Culture and art are important factors that go beyond industrial values to build social consensus and enhance national competitiveness,' adding, `We hope this forum will be a meaningful time for the Republic of Korea to become a cultural powerhouse.'," he said.
