Lee Soon-jae was the winner of the 「37th Korea PD Awards」 actor category held at the KBS annex public hall in Yeouido, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul on the 15th, but he missed the ceremony due to health reasons and was unable to perform on stage.
Lee Seung-hee, the CEO of his agency, took the stage on behalf of Lee Soon-jae. He thanked "The teacher was a little uncomfortable, so he couldn't attend "The teacher thanked the officials of "Korea PD Awards" and the judges, and now he is a little sick. A lot of encouragement and support is needed. I'd appreciate it if you could cheer me up," he said.
According to the agency, Lee Soon-jae is currently recovering by resting his legs uncomfortable due to reduced muscle strength.
Lee Soon-jae, born in 1935, won the grand prize for the drama `Gae-Sori' in the KBS 2024 Acting Awards recorded in December last year. The all-time grand prize winner took the stage, helped by Kim Yong-gun and Choi Soo-jong. In October last year, he also dropped out of the play 'Waiting for Godot', which he appeared for health reasons.
