Kang Ji-yong, a former soccer player who appeared on JTBC's entertainment program 'Lee Hon Sook-ryu Camp', has passed away. He was 35 years old.

Former soccer player Koo Bon-sang delivered Kang Ji-yong's obituary on his SNS on the 23rd.

The mortuary of the deceased was prepared in Room 2 of the funeral hall of Cheonan Hospital, affiliated with Soonchunhyang University, located in Bongmyeong-dong, Dongnam-gu, Cheonan-si, Chungcheongnam-do. The coffin will be borne at 6:30 a.m. on the 25th, and the burial site is Cheonan Memorial Park.




His wife Lee Da-eun and daughter Chae-eun, who appeared in the 'Departure Camp' with Kang Ji-yong, were named as residents, and the bereaved family is welcoming mourners in sorrow. The cause of death was not disclosed.

Kang Ji-yong appeared as the 9th couple on 'Departure Camp', which aired in February, and revealed his conflict with his wife, who complained of financial problems with his in-laws. At the time of the broadcast, he said, "My wish is to die in my sleep.", He shocked viewers with his extreme remarks, such as `I want to die too much.'

Kang Ji-yong, born in 1989, began his professional football career with the fifth pick by the Pohang Steelers in the 2009 K League Draft. Since then, he has played for Busan I'Park, Gyeongju Citizens Football Team, Bucheon FC 1995, Gangwon FC, Incheon United, Gangneung Citizens Football Team, and Cheonan City Football Team. He is also known as the cousin of Kwon Eun-bi, a singer from Iz*One.
