Recently, CCTV footage of Malaysian clothing brand MLB stores has been rapidly spreading on various online communities and social media.
The video showed a man in a black hoodie and hat pacing in front of the store, picking up Karina's life-size stand at the entrance and running away. In a sudden situation, store employees were also caught immediately chasing them. It has not yet been confirmed whether the person has been captured.
As the incident spread, MLB Malaysia said in an official statement that `We know many people are excited, and so are we.' `All displays are MLB's assets and are designed for everyone to enjoy together.' The current issue is under consideration internally.
The incident took place after Karina was selected as MLB's official ambassador. On the 8th, MLB selected Karina as a model and is conducting advertisements and promotions throughout Asia, including Korea and Malaysia.
On the other hand, according to Article 379 of the Malaysian Criminal Code, theft in public places can be sentenced to up to seven years in prison or fined. Experts analyze that the case can be regarded as a serious theft in that the life-size is a store asset.
