BTS RM Wins 'Favorite K-pop Artist' at 2025 American Music Awards

The '2025 American Music Awards' were held in Las Vegas on the 26th (local time). On this day, RM received the 'Favorite K-pop Artist' award after competing with the same team members Jimin, Blackpink Rosé, Stray Kids, and ATEEZ.
The `American Music Awards' is considered one of the top three popular music award ceremonies in the United States, along with the" Billboard Music Awards' and"Grammy Awards.' The ceremony was suspended after the event in 2022 and resumed after three years this year. Candidates and winners will be decided by 100% fan voting, reflecting the size of the fandom, including music streaming, album/single sales, radio broadcasting, and tour revenue.
BTS won the award at the ceremony for five consecutive years from 2018 to 2022, especially in 2021, when she became the first K-pop singer to win the grand prize in the category 'Artist of the Year' category. Since then, 'American Music Awards' has recognized the influence of K-pop in 2022 and established a 'Favorite K-pop Artist' category.
