Actor Choo Ja-hyun was cast as a shaman who has revenge behind the face of an angel in tvN's new Monday-Tuesday drama 'Gyeonwoo and the Fairy' (directed by Kim Yong-wan, script by Yang Ji-hoon, planned CJ ENM, production studio Dragon, Dexter Pictures, and E-Content Group), heralding her strong presence in the small screen.
「Gyeonwoo and the Fairy」, which will premiere at 8:50 p.m. on June 23 (Monday), depicts the relentless first love redemption romance of 18-year-olds between a boy destined to die and an MZ shaman girl who tries to prevent it based on the popular webtoon of the same name.
In the play, Chu Ja-hyun's character 'Chillhwa' is a character that does not exist in the original, and unlike her elegant appearance, she is a shaman with deep inner wounds and vengeance. Chlora is a person who causes tension in the entire play and stands at odds with the main characters, and will lead a solid axis of the story.
Chu Ja-hyun said, `It was attractive that the flame was not in the original, and I had a lot of faith in the people who were with me.' `I had a desire as an actor to play a shaman in my own way"He expressed his extraordinary affection and expectation for the role."
In particular, Chu Ja-hyun left a deep impression by showing solid acting skills and delicate emotional lines through dramas 'Little Aces' and 'Trigger'. His performance, which depicts complex emotions in detail, has been a decisive force in raising viewers' immersion. In this work, it is expected that he will show an intense acting transformation that moves between the shamanic world and reality through a three-dimensional character called Chillings.
