Actor Hwang Jung-eum is suspected of embezzling public funds from a one-man agency and investing in cryptocurrency, and attention is also being paid to the future of the broadcast program in which he is appearing.

The filming of the last episode is said to have already been completed, but the production team is expected to decide whether to edit it or not after confirming its position with Hwang Jung-eum.

According to the legal community, Hwang Jung-eum started his first trial on the same day on charges of violating the law on the aggravated punishment of specific economic crimes.

Hwang Jung-eum was indicted without detention in 2022 on charges of taking 700 million won of loans from the agency in the name of provisional payments and investing in cryptocurrency, and embezzling 4.34 billion won in company money until December of that year.




If the damaged agency was found to be a family corporation in which Hwang Jung-eum holds a 100% stake, Hwang Jung-eum reportedly invested about 4.2 billion won in cryptocurrency.

Hwang Jung-eum's lawyer admitted that there was no dispute over the charges, explaining that the defendant invested in coins with the intention of growing the company, and temporarily invested in his name because the corporation could not hold the coins, leading to the crime in this case.

The court accepted Hwang Jeong-eum's position, who requested continued to reimburse the damage.




Meanwhile, Hwang Jung-eum married Lee Young-don, a former golfer, in 2016 and held her two sons in her arms. Hwang Jung-eum reunited after filing for divorce settlement in 2020, but went through the divorce process in February, revealing that she was filing for divorce.

Hwang Jung-eum later admitted to dating basketball player Kim Jong-kyu in July, but broke up quickly in two weeks. Hwang Jung-eum, who also showed her active performance as an MC of SBS entertainment show 「"Soloist」, is currently raising her two children herself.
