Popeye, Lee Sang-yong, passed away today (9th) on his way to the hospital

MBN reported that Lee Sang-yong died at around 12:45 p.m. on the 9th. According to the report, Lee Sang-yong collapsed on his way to a hospital near his home in Seocho-gu, Seoul, earlier in the day for health reasons. He was later transferred to Seoul St. Mary's Hospital for emergency treatment, but died.
Lee Sang-yong, born in 1944, is a national MC who has been a host on a number of programs, including MBC's Stage of Friendship', KBS'6:00 Homecoming', and'Morning Madang'. In particular, it was affectionately called 「Mr. Popeye」 on KBS"Let's gather and sing" and received a lot of love."
