On the 24th, Judge Park Kyung-mo of the Daegu District Court sentenced Choi to a fine of 7 million won on charges of assault and other charges. The court stated that "the defendant admits all charges and appears to have committed the crime accidentally under the influence of alcohol"", but "has a criminal record of the same kind and has failed to agree with the victim."," he said, explaining the reason for the sentencing.
Choi was accused of hitting another man in the face six times and dropping his mobile phone on the floor to damage him while arguing over a taxi ride on a street in Daegu in October last year. At the final hearing on the 12th, Choi claimed unfairness, saying, `I admit the crime, but the victim said sexual things first.' At that time, the prosecution demanded a six-month prison term.
Meanwhile, Choi is known as a 10th performer of 'I'm SOLO' and is also under police investigation for allegedly deceiving luxury goods at past charity auctions.
