AOA’s Dohwa Marries Amid Ongoing Group Hiatus

The group AOA still hasn't regrouped.

On the 28th, the youngest Dohwa (Chanmi) married actor Song Eui-hwan, a theater actor, somewhere in Seoul.

Chan-mi met someone who wanted to walk the days ahead together in May and got married in June. A very sweet and grateful person who supported me warmly and stayed by my side in all my moments."

With this, Chan-mi became the second sold-out woman in the team after Yuna, who married Kang Jeong-hoon, a war of stars in the songwriting team, in February last year.

AOA Hye-jeong and Seol-hyun, as well as Jimin, who left the team, attended and congratulated them. Hyejeong is "Oh, so pretty. Congratulations on your wedding, TT," Jimin said, revealing Dohwa walking down Virgin Road wearing a wedding dress.

Dohwa debuted in 2012 as the youngest member of AOA, Chanmi, but changed her name to Dohwa after finishing her team activities.

AOA received great love for releasing hits such as 'Heart Attack'"Short Skirt"Short Hair" but was hampered by Kwon Min-ah's revelations in 2019. Kwon Min-ah was bullied by Jimin for more than 10 years and the other members claimed to have been bystanders, sparking controversy. Jimin left AOA in the aftermath and retired from the entertainment industry. However, Kwon Min-ah did not stop revealing bullying, and eventually was criticized for revealing Jimin's secret private life. Since then, it has been revealed that Kwon Min-ah sent a violent text to Jimin, causing various rumors such as controversy over both legs and indoor smoking, and public opinion has been overturned. In response, Jimin reversed his retirement announcement and returned to the entertainment industry.

However, this incident effectively disbanded the AOA. Hye-jeong said in October last year that the members did not contact each other on the 'No-Pak-Kku Tak Jae-Hoon', but that they were checking each other's safety on social media occasionally.
