Seven years have passed since the late comedian Kim Tae-ho died in the Gunsan arson incident.

Kim Tae-ho sadly died on June 17, 2018, in a fire accident at an entertainment bar in Gunsan, Jeollabuk-do. He was 51.

At the pub, a man in his 50s set fire in anger while arguing with the owner of the pub over the cost of credit, and five people, including Kim Tae-ho, were killed and 29 were seriously injured. Kim Tae-ho reportedly visited Gunsan to attend a golf tournament event and was defecated. The arsonist was put on trial and sentenced to life imprisonment on charges of arson.




Comedian Lee Yong-sik, who encountered the sad news at the time, said "Tell me that it's a dream even now. We still have a lot of laughs to give. Meanwhile, Kim Tae-ho made his debut in 1991 with KBS Comedian Open, and played in KBS1 '6 My Hometown' and 'Good Morning Korea'. He also won the MC Excellence Award at the 23rd Korea Culture and Entertainment Awards in 2014. In addition, he performed licorice in dramas 'Happy Choonhyang', 'Seodongyo', 'You Are a Star'.
