Kim Soo-hyun Faces 7.3 Billion Won in Lawsuits from Advertisers Amid Scandal

Actor Kim Soo-hyun, who expressed his frustration with tears over the spread of the "the late Kim Sae-ron dating rumor", is being accused one after another by advertisers.
On the 18th, the New Daily wrote, "Hallyu star Kim Soo-hyun (37) is embroiled in a huge penalty battle with advertisers."The amount amounts to 7.3 billion won," he said.
There are a total of 16 brands that used Kim Soo-hyun as their advertising model. Some of them are either considering filing a lawsuit or are already filing a lawsuit.
Many advertisers, who had no choice but to stop exposing advertisements immediately after Kim Soo-hyun was caught up in the controversy over her privacy, are considering a lawsuit to hold Kim Soo-hyun responsible for compensation.

Some advertisers have seized the Seongsu-dong apartment owned by Kim Soo-hyun.
After the controversy over Kim Soo-hyun's private life surfaced earlier, a number of brands, including Eider, Shabu All Day, Dinto, Homeplus, Shinhan Bank, Tous Les Jours, Prada, and Joe Malone, suspended promotional activities using Kim Soo-hyun.
Only news was reported that Taiwan 7-Eleven is considering a lawsuit against Kim Soo-hyun for damages worth 130 million Taiwanese dollars (about 6 billion won), but no follow-up measures were made.
Meanwhile, the bereaved family of the late Kim Sae-ron and Se-yeon claimed that Kim Soo-hyun met from late 2015 to July 2021 when Kim Sae-ron was a minor. In response, Kim Soo-hyun countered that although it was true that he was in a relationship with Kim Sae-ron, he dated for a year from 2019 to 2020, after he became an adult.
In response, Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family and Se-yeon released a recording of Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron exchanging messages, photos and videos. In the end, Kim Soo-hyun sued Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family and Se-yeon for defamation and sought 11 billion won in damages. In addition, Sei-yeon operator Kim Se-eui was sued for violating the Sexual Violence Punishment Act and defamation under the Information and Communication Network Act, and seized Kim Se-eui's apartment and YouTube channel-sponsored deposit accounts. Kim Sae-ron's bereaved family sued Kim Soo-hyun on charges of violating the Child Welfare Act and innocent.
