FT Island member Lee Hong-ki confessed to the pain of a rare disease that he has suffered for nearly 20 years, causing viewers to feel sorry.

In the SBS entertainment show 「My Ugly Baby」, which aired on the 15th, Lee Hong-ki visited the hospital for treatment.

On this day, Lee Hong-ki "I was taking good care of myself, but I recently felt abnormal symptoms in my armpits again."I went to the hospital to see if my buttocks were okay as well."

The disease Lee Hong-ki suffers from is purulent Hansenitis. It is a rare incurable disease in which abscesses accompanied by pus repeatedly occur in the sweat glands such as hips and armpits.

The doctor in charge "This disease tends to worsen in hot and humid times like summer"In severe cases, pus accumulates, creating a tunnel under the skin, and pain can cause difficulties in raising your arms."

Lee Hong-ki has suffered from this disease since he was young"I only had about eight surgeries, and I couldn't go to the public bath because of the scar."

Then "There was a time when an abscess broke out during middle school class and the buttocks of my school uniform were all wet from blooming. Eventually, I left early, but I didn't even think about going to the hospital at that time," he said, recalling his childhood wounds.

According to the doctor, Lee Hong-ki visited the hospital in the past with an abscess about the size of his palm on his right hip, and his pus was severely full at the time, so he was in such a serious condition that he had to perform urgent surgery and even inserted a drainage tube.

Lee Hong-ki complained of pain, saying, "'It hurt so much that it was difficult to sit down, lie face down, and stand up.'" He stressed that the disease is not just a skin disease, but a pain in life that greatly affects daily life."

Meanwhile, Lee Hong-ki is currently active, and is reportedly paying more attention to health care as various festivals and university festivals are also scheduled for the upcoming summer season.
