Tae-il (Moon Tae-il, 31), a member of the group NCT who was expelled from the group on charges of sex crimes, was sentenced to seven years in prison in the first trial.

The Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Agreement Department 26 (Chief Judge Lee Hyun-kyung) held a final hearing on Tae-il, accomplices Lee, and Hong, who were indicted on special charges of rape under the Special Act on the Punishment of Sexual Violence Crimes on the 18th.

On this day, the prosecution asked the court to order the three defendants to serve seven years in prison, complete sex crime treatment programs, disclose and notify personal information, and restrict employment for 10 years.

The prosecution emphasized that `the case of sexual assault on a group of foreign female tourists is very serious and the crime is extremely poor.' `It also shows the intention to deliberately prevent them from remembering the location of the crime.'

At the hearing, Taeil said of his job "I don't have a job at the moment. Although he was a singer, he was expelled from his agency after this incident. He then admitted all the charges along with his accomplices

In his closing statement, Taeil "I regret the most for causing great damage to the victim. I'm sorry to everyone who's disappointed by me"If you treat me, I think it's the last chance of my life and I'll live a life that helps society."," he bowed his head.

The defendant requested leniency based on the agreement with the victim and the letter of surrender. However, the prosecution said, `The police submitted a letter of self-sufficiency when they raided the accused after two months of tracking down the accused.' `It is hard to see it as a genuine embroidery" countered.

It also raised the possibility of a planned crime, citing the fact that the defendants' conversations about "Take a taxi to be photographed elsewhere" were secured after the crime.

In June last year, Taeil was indicted without detention in March this year on charges of sexually assaulting a foreign woman, A, who was drunk and unconscious with her accomplices. When the incident became known later, SM Entertainment, the agency at the time, officially canceled the exclusive contract and withdrew from NCT in October of that year.

Taeil debuted as NCT's first unit NCT U in 2016 and has been a member of NCT 127. Currently, all activities have been suspended.

The court designated the sentencing date for the three defendants as 2 p.m. on July 10.
