Sam Hammington Questions Need for English Education in Korea

Australian broadcaster Sam Hammington expressed his belief in his children's English education.

On the 13th, rapper Sleepy, broadcaster Sam Hammington, and comedians Kwak Bum and Song Ha-bin appeared in YouTube content 'Neighbor Husbands' to talk about their children's education.

While we were talking about our children's education, we talked about English kindergarten. In response, Sam Hammington "I honestly don't know why my kids speak English because their dad is Australian. To be honest, I wonder if there is a reason to learn English education in Korea if you are not going to use English forever. Why don't we just communicate briefly to a certain extent?"

Sleepy thought about studying abroad with his wife and children. Sleepy said "While talking about studying abroad, my child is good at English, but I think my mom and dad would be embarrassed if I couldn't speak English at all. So I wondered if I should not ask him to do it at all."

In response, Sam Hammington "Certainly sees the environment as important. When I get home from English kindergarten, I have to keep using it as naturally as I learned, but if I don't use it the next day, I will go back to where I was. You have to listen to English in your daily life," he said of English teaching methods.

On the other hand, Sam Hammington also spoke about excessive private education such as medical school entrance examination and jump rope academy for performance evaluation. Sam Hammington says "Elementary school still has the test. I heard that a lot of people go to jump rope academies because of that. I honestly think it's a bit naughty. Should I go to the academy and raise my score?" he said.
