YouTuber who raised conspiracy theory related to Lee Young-ae and Kim Gun-hee ordered a summary order of 7 million won in fines

YouTuber Jung Chun-soo, who spread rumors about actor Lee Young-ae, was fined.

The Uijeongbu District Court's Criminal Chamber 21 (Chief Judge Kim Kyung-soo) issued a summary order of 7 million won for Jung Chun-soo, the operator of the YouTube channel Open Sympathy TV, who was summarily indicted on charges of violating the Information and Communication Network Act (defamation).

When Lee Young-ae donated 50 million won to the President Rhee Syng-man Memorial Foundation to build the President Rhee Syng-man Memorial in September 2023, Jeong Chun-soo aired fake news to the effect that "Lee Young-ae is related to the Yoon Suk Yeol President and his wife". In response, Lee Young-ae sued Jeong Cheon-soo.

The case was transferred to Yangju Police Station in Gyeonggi Province and a decision was made to reject the case, but it was handed over to the prosecution as Lee Young-ae filed an objection. The prosecution decided not to indict in June last year, but Lee Young-ae appealed against it. And the Seoul High Prosecutor's Office ordered a comeback investigation and briefly prosecuted Jeong Cheon-soo after investigating the case again.
