A 55-year-old man, who is working as a volunteer YouTuber, was arrested in the Philippines on charges of violating child abuse, exploitation and anti-discrimination laws and human trafficking prevention.
JTBC 'Case Team Leader', which aired on the 7th, reported A's criminal behavior.
Mr. A has been raising donations through his YouTube channel in the name of running a study room for poor children in the Philippines, home repair costs, and treatment costs. However, it turned out that the mother of the baby, whom the man introduced as "Miracle Baby," was a 13-year-old girl.
A had an illegal relationship with this girl, and the girl became pregnant at 13 and gave birth at 14. A admitted his fault and said he would take responsibility, but this is a serious crime under Philippine law.
The Philippines has stepped up its punishment for sexual crimes against children, raising the age for sexual intercourse agreements from 12 to 16 in 2022. Therefore, A is also likely to receive strong punishment. Mr. A is currently being held at the Mahalika Detention Center in Kagajandeoro City.
