According to foreign media such as TMZ, FOXNEWS, and APNEWS on the 16th (local time), the LAPD (Los Angeles Police Department) suspects that the suspect, Raymond Budaryan (22), opened fire on the couple who returned home after breaking into the victim's home in the Encino area without permission. Police reportedly arrested Raymond Budaryan at his home on the 16th.
According to a police investigation, Raymond Budaryan broke into the victim's home on the afternoon of the 10th and stayed inside the house for about 30 minutes, shot the victim and his wife who entered the house, and fled. Each of the victims was found dead in a different room in the house, and both had gunshot wounds to the head and upper body.
On the day of the incident, the neighbor witnessed a suspicious person crossing the fence and reported it to the police, but there were no signs of invasion at the scene at the time.
Police were unable to enter the home structure, surrounded by 8-foot-tall walls and metal spikes, and helicopter searches showed no clear accident scene.
After a few days of contact with the victim's couple, an acquaintance of the victim requested a welfare inspection on the 14th, and the police who were dispatched to the scene broke the window and entered the house to find the bodies of the two.
Police believe Raymond Budaryan has no one-sided knowledge of the victims, and are investigating the possibility of indiscriminate crimes rather than simple robbery or theft.
CCTV was not installed in the house at the time of the crime, and the motive of the crime has not yet been revealed.
Meanwhile, according to testimony from neighboring residents and swimming pool managers, there was an attempt to break into the home about a month ago. The victim and his wife were later consulted with a security company, but they were not able to reach the actual installation.
