The Seoul Central District Court's Criminal Agreement Department 27 (Chief Judge Woo In-sung) sentenced Biffrey, who was indicted on charges of injury, to one year and four months in prison on the 4th.
The court pointed out that Biffrey had six previous convictions, including a suspended prison sentence, and was fined 3 million won for injury on June 26, 2024, the day before the crime. He ruled that severe punishment is inevitable because the victim suffers from a visual impairment in the lower right eye that may be permanent.'
However, the court said "Although the precise examination confirmed right-eye optic neuropathy and the resulting right-eye lower visual field disorder, this causes some inconvenience to the victim in daily life, and functional damage such as vision vision is likely to improve for a limited period of six months to a year. Although there is a possibility that the aftereffects will remain, it is difficult to conclude that they have led to incurable or incurable diseases.
The court also revealed the reason for the sentencing, saying, `It is normal that the defendant admitted some of his actions and vowed to live without violence in the future as the lyrics of 'Magic Hand' were written by him.'
However, both prosecutors and Biffrey appealed against the first trial's ruling.
At around 12:25 a.m. on June 28 last year, Biffrey scuffled with a security guard over an access breaker at the front gate of his apartment, honking his motorcycle horn and swearing loudly. When the victim, who lived on the first floor of the apartment building, complained, "'Who's making so much noise at this dawn?' Biffrey called the victim out and punched him in the face, causing him to fall to the floor.
