BoA Cancels 25th Anniversary Concert Due to Health Concerns Following Osteonecrosis Diagnosis

BoA's agency SM Entertainment (SM) announced on the 15th that "BoA's fifth solo concert has become difficult to proceed due to artist health reasons.'
"BoA was recently diagnosed with acute osteonecrosis, which required surgical treatment from the hospital she visited due to severe knee pain, and decided to perform surgery based on the medical staff's opinion that excessive physical activity, performance such as dance, and surgery should be carried out as soon as possible to prevent the disease from progressing. "We would like to inform you that this inevitably led to the cancellation of BoA's fifth concert scheduled for two days from August 30 to 31. We deeply apologize for causing concern to our fans with the sudden news, and we ask for your generous understanding as this is a decision that puts the health of the artist first."
"This year marks BoA's 25th anniversary, so we plan to release the album as scheduled for the fans who have waited with high expectations without any change in the schedule," he said. "We will re-announce the possibility of holding a concert in the future according to the artist's recovery after surgery." To mark the 25th anniversary of her debut this year, BoA was scheduled to hold a solo performance at Jamsil Indoor Stadium in Seoul on August 30-31.
