Chef Ahn Yoo-sung rolled up his sleeves once again. He, who drew attention as a volunteer during the Jeju Air disaster last year, appeared at the flood recovery site in Naju, Jeollanam-do.

On the 24th, Chef Ahn visited the restoration site of the flood damage in Daeji-ri, Donggang-myeon, Naju-si, Jeollanam-do, and provided carefully prepared meals for military personnel, residents, and volunteers. Even in the hot weather, he hand-prepared 350 servings of abalone samgyejuk, braised short ribs, and stir-fried duck smoked to deliver warm warmth.

Tired military personnel and volunteers stood in long lines with plates as they were in sweaty clothes, and a hot meal soothed their bodies and minds for a while. Residents who recognized Chef Ahn repeatedly greeted him, saying, `Thank you so much.'

He said "I couldn't just sit there when I heard about the rain damage"I hope the food has been a little consolation." Chef Cho Hye-kyung also participated in the meal support on this day.

The Gwangju Jeonnam branch of the Korean Red Cross also deployed a recovery support vehicle to operate a shade shelter. Park Jae-hong, chairman of the branch, said "Korea's representative chefs have been a great help."

During the Jeju Air plane disaster in December last year, Chef Ahn drew attention by serving abalone porridge and gomtang for the bereaved families and medical staff. He runs a Japanese restaurant in Seo-gu, Gwangju, and is the 16th Korean cook master, visiting disaster sites across the country to practice the 'Warm Table'.
