Recently, a cooking contest entertainment that seems to have copied Netflix 'Black and White Cook' has been controversial in China.

On the 17th, the OTT platform 'Tent Video' operated by Chinese IT company Tencent unveiled a new entertainment program 'Ipanfunkion'.

However, the setting is very similar to the confrontation method of 'black and white chefs', which divided the ranks of chefs into black and white spoon, and is also criticized by Chinese netizens.

In particular, Netflix said it had no rights to China, revealing the seriousness of China's 'Copying Content'.

Seo Kyung-duk, a professor at Sungshin Women's University, criticized the scene of making kimchi in the program and introduced it as 'Paochai' instead of 'Kimchi'.

'Paochai' is a pickled vegetable dish in Sichuan Province, China, similar to 'pickle'; it is completely different from 'Kimchi'.

Professor Seo said, `Over the past few years, China has been openly implementing the 'Kimchi Process' that kimchi originated in its own country"Beyond the Chinese media and SNS, it is now using OTT to distort kimchi.", he pointed out.

In addition, he emphasized that "we should make good use of this situation to accuse China's fake culture to the world and make our kimchi a good opportunity to promote it to the world."
