On the 16th, the Suwon District Court's Criminal Appeals Department 1-2 (Chief Judges Lee Heon-sook, Kim Jong-geun, and Jung Chang-geun) sentenced Park Sang-min, who was accused of violating the Road Traffic Act, to six months in prison and suspended for two years, and ordered him to take 40 hours of compliance driving lectures.
The court ruled that the original trial fully explained the reason for the sentencing, and there was no change in circumstances that could be seen differently in the appeal trial.
Park Sang-min was accused of driving an intoxicated vehicle near his residence after drinking with an acquaintance at a bar in Gwacheon, Gyeonggi Province, in May last year. The vehicle was stopped and was asleep when a witness reported it.
Moreover, Park Sang-min has a history of drunk driving, so the public's eyes were even colder. After causing a drunk contact accident in Sinsa-dong, Gangnam-gu, Seoul in 1997, he was suspended for drunk driving in Gangnam, Seoul in 2011.
