G-Dragon's Bangkok Concert Abruptly Canceled, Fans Protest Over Lack of Explanation

The group Big Bang G-Dragon suddenly canceled a concert in Thailand.

The agency Galaxy Corporation said on the 11th that it is regrettable that the performance of the World Tour 'Ubermensch' scheduled for August 2 has been canceled due to an unexpected situation.

We are well aware of how much many people expected this performance, and we sincerely apologize for the disappointment and inconvenience this has caused. Thank you for your continued patience and support. We sincerely thank our fans in Thailand, and we hope to see you again soon."

G-Dragon was scheduled to hold a world tour '
Ubermensch' at Rajamangala National Stadium in Bangkok, Thailand on August 2. However, 23 days before the performance was held, it suddenly announced 'Cancellation'.

Tickets for Thai performances have not yet begun, so no separate procedures, including refund measures, are required. However, the time and money of fans who made 'preparation for reception', such as preparing a welcome event to see G-Dragon and booking accommodation near the concert hall on vacation, disappeared into thin air.

Moreover, the agency has raised antipathy through its unmannered response. In general, if the performance is suddenly canceled, any explanation is left. However, Galaxy Corporation only gave an unkind excuse of 'unexpected situation'. This is not polite to fans who waited for G-Dragon. In addition, according to officials, it is natural to pay a penalty if a performance that has already been rented is canceled, and a penalty will be given for not being able to perform at the venue for a certain period of time. As a result, fans' anger and concern grew even more.

Eventually, angry fans sent protest trucks to the Galaxy Corporation headquarters. Fans voiced their opinions, saying, "'Restore confidence in the fandom's tour hall'Artist's name, 'If you leave the fan after chasing short-term profits, you will be responsible'. It is the first time that a truck protest against G-Dragon has been held since his debut with YG Entertainment's Big Bang in 2006.

Amid the controversy, G-Dragon continues his first solo concert in eight years 'Webermansh'.

G-Dragon, which turned Seoul, Tokyo, Bulacan, Osaka, Macau, and Australia upside down, will continue performing in Taiwan for three days from the 11th to the 13th. Afterwards, Kuala Lumpur Jakarta, Hong Kong, the United States, and France will host 'Webermansh'.
