Soccer player Ki Sung-yueng expressed his feelings about winning some of the damages in four years in the first trial of a lawsuit for damages that raised suspicions of sexual assault.
On the 10th, Ki Sung-yueng said, `I don't know how time has gone for four years. I was able to endure and wait for a long time because I believed that the truth would come out."
Then "It was very difficult and hard to prove a fact that didn't exist, but in the end, I had a valuable experience that truth won and lies revealed reality."," he added.
He said "There were a lot of lawyers who advised him not to go because it was a long and tough fight. But living a disgraceful, unfair life that was misunderstood and ridiculed for false information was harder than dying"I really appreciate everyone who believed and supported me. I am also deeply grateful to my companions who joined me in prayer."
Earlier in February 2021, A and B claimed that they were sexually assaulted by Ki Sung-yueng and other seniors from January to June 2000 while working as a soccer team at an elementary school in Jeollanam-do. It did not mention Ki's name. However, it became a big controversy because the perpetrator could infer Ki Sung-yueng.
Ki Sung-yueng's side claimed innocence and filed a criminal complaint and a 500 million won damage lawsuit against those suspected of sexual violence at the same time. The Seoul Central District Court's Civil Agreement Department 14 (Chief Judge Chung Ha-jung) ruled on the 9th that `A and B jointly pay 100 million won to Ki Sung-yueng.'
Meanwhile, Ki Sung-yueng moved to Pohang on the 3rd. He joined his second team in the K-League in 19 years after making his debut in the K-League in 2006. Ki Sung-yueng married actress Han Hye-jin, who is eight years older, in 2013 and has a daughter.
