On the 17th (local time), the New York Post and CNN reported a scene at the Coldplay concert in Boston, Massachusetts, the day before. During the performance, a live broadcast of a lover who was captured on an electronic display camera showing the audience sharing a friendly hug.
However, as soon as they appeared on the screen, the couple hurriedly pulled away, hid their faces, and reacted embarrassingly. The woman in the man's arms covered her face with her hands, and the man squatted in his seat and turned his head.
Coldplay lead vocalist Chris Martin, who was greeting fans while watching the electronic display, said, `They're either having an affair, or they're really shy"I hope we didn't do anything wrong,' he joked, causing laughter.
But this happening didn't end here. As the video of the scene spread through X (formerly Twitter), Internet users' interest exploded, and eventually the identity of the lover was revealed.
Internet users claimed that the man in question was Andy Byron, the CEO of the U.S. data infrastructure start-up 'Astronomer', and the woman was Christine Cabot, the chief executive officer of the same company. Astronomer is a startup that has risen to the ranks of unicorn companies with an enterprise value of $1 billion (about 1.4 trillion won) in 2022.
Byron is currently married, and Cabot reportedly divorced in 2022. It is not known whether he will remarry or not.
An unnamed former employee told foreign media that "He was a very toxic boss. When this happened, the employees burst into laughter."
The two have yet to make an official statement on the allegations.
