Hive appointed Isaac Lee, chairman of HBL, as the new chairman and CEO of HBA, a North American corporation, on the 1st.
A native of Colombia, Isaac Lee is a media content expert who served as chief content officer for the world's largest Spanish-language content television channel Univision Communications and Televisa, and was the founder of the comprehensive music company Exile Content. Since November 2023, when Hive entered South America and established HBL, he has been chairman and led the South American business, and this time he will also be the head of the North American business. Since then, synergy creation and business competitiveness are expected through the integrated operation of Hive South American and North American businesses.
HBA has Big Machine Label Group (BMLG), which includes country music artists such as Justin Moore, Thomas Rhett, Riley Green and Carly Pearce, Quality Control (QC) Media Holdings, known for top hip-hop labels such as Lil Baby, Lil Yati, Quaybo, and Big X The Plug, and HYBE x Geffen Records, the agency of Cats Eye, which has recently become a sensation through the release of new songs such as 'Gnally', 'Gabriela', and 'Gameboy'.
"Based on his outstanding planning skills, high understanding of the local market, and close network, Hive expects new CEO Isaac Lee to contribute to the growth of Hive's Americas business and the expansion of Hive Korean Music Group artists' influence in North America," Hive said.
Former CEO Scooter Braun, who has led the HBA for four years since Hive acquired Ithaca Holdings, plans to remain on the board as a non-executive advisor and continue his advisory role on key decision-making. Former CEO Brown is considered to have contributed greatly to Hive's expanding influence in the U.S. market.
