According to Money Today on the 16th, Lee Soo-geun put up a building in Sangam-dong, Mapo-gu, Seoul for sale on the land trading platform on the 7th.

The building was purchased by Lee Soo-geun under the joint name of his wife Park Ji-yeon in February 2011. At that time, Lee Soo-geun purchased 165㎡ (49 pyeong) of land in Sangam-dong for 1.3 billion won and raised the building. According to the register, the maximum amount of collateral security bonds was 864 million won, and about 720 million won in loans are believed to have been executed. Lee Soo-geun later registered the building under Park Ji-yeon's sole name. Instead, he set up loans and debts in his own name. Lee Soo-geun previously said he transferred all his assets to his wife's name.

The desired sale price of the building is 3 billion won. If the transaction is carried out as it is, Lee Soo-geun and his wife will see a market profit of about 1.7 billion won for the first time in 13 years. However, considering various taxes such as acquisition tax and gift tax, construction costs, and interest, the profit is estimated to be around 1 billion won.

It is not known why Lee Soo-geun is selling the building. However, there are speculations that the real estate may be cashed in to pay for hospital expenses, including the surgery for his wife's kidney re-transplantation scheduled for August.

Park Ji-yeon received a kidney transplant from her mother's father due to a kidney problem caused by pregnancy poisoning during her second son's pregnancy in 2011. However, the transplanted kidney was not properly positioned, so he continued dialysis treatment, and in mid-August, he decided to re-transmit his brother's kidney.
