NewJeans' Pre-Debut Video Released Amid Contract Dispute with ADOR
The appearance of the members in the video, which conveys excitement and determination with a young face before their debut, makes us feel sad. This is because Newzins is currently suspended.

In November last year, Newzins notified its agency Adore of the termination of its exclusive contract and declared its independent activities. In response, Adore filed an injunction against the members, including a lawsuit to verify the validity of the exclusive contract, preserving the status of an agency, and signing an advertising contract.

Newzins claimed that the trust relationship broke down, taking issue with the lack of production due to the unfair dismissal of Min Hee-jin, former CEO of A-Door. However, the court rejected the members' claims and ruled in favor of Adore.

This blocked all activities of Newzins without the consent of Audor. If members engage in independent activities without agreement with Odor, they will have to pay a penalty of 1 billion won per person.

Now, Newzins is planning to dispute the legality of the contract in a lawsuit on the merits to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract with Adore. Adore says the exclusive contract is valid, but Newzins counters that the contract itself is invalid. The third hearing of the lawsuit will be held on the 24th.
