On the 24th, the third hearing of the 41st division of the civil agreement at the Seoul Central District Court will be held to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract filed by Adore against the members of the NewJeans. At the first hearing held in April, Adore said that Min Hee-jin, former CEO of Adore, left Adore on his own, and that he is also willing to agree with the members of New Jeans. However, NewJeans countered that Adore, without Min, is a completely different company from Adore in the past, and that the trust relationship was broken because Adore violated his agency's protection obligations, and that he crossed an irreversible river.
In November last year, NewJeans declared that the exclusive contract was terminated due to a breach of the contract by Odor. In response, Adore filed an injunction against the members, including a lawsuit to verify the validity of the exclusive contract, preserving the status of an agency, and signing an advertising contract.
Citing all of Ador's applications for provisional injunction, the court said, "NewJeans shall not engage in entertainment activities independently or through a third party without prior approval or consent from Adore until the judgment of the first trial of a lawsuit to confirm the validity of the exclusive contract" he said. In particular, the court ordered a penalty of 1 billion won for each violation.
NewJeans celebrated its third anniversary on the 22nd.
