Starting as Asia's first comedy festival in 2013, the Busan International Comedy Festival' (hereinafter 'Bukoffe') will visit the audience with a more colorful and rich stage this year. The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF) will be held across Busan for 10 days from August 29 (Friday) to September 7 (Sunday), and official ticket reservations are currently underway through NOL Interpark.
This year's 'Bucofe' is drawing great attention with star comedians who have led the Korean comedy world, fresh creators, and pleasant comedy artists from all over the world. While the heat is hotter than ever, 'Bucofe', which will be responsible for this summer's laughter, raises expectations today (30th) by releasing an official poster that has become more special.
This poster is the first self-made poster in BICF history, and it has a different meaning. The released poster reinterpreted the characters Funny (Lighthouse) and Buddy (Seagull), which were symbols of 'Bukope', in a retro style to emphasize a more trendy, bright, and cheerful feeling. The festival's vitality was added by utilizing the pollen effect along with the sky blue background reminiscent of the Busan Sea.
In addition to visually capturing the core message that anyone can enjoy the performance through the phrase 'GET READY TO LAUGH!', the title also expresses a free and enjoyable atmosphere by using inconsistent handwriting fonts to maximize the comic and cute charm of the character. Young and pastel-toned colors are applied to the overall design, making it an accessible and friendly poster for everyone of all ages.
A BICF Organizing Committee official said "This poster symbolizes the experience of the audience becoming the main character of the performance from the moment they meet on the street"Please pay a lot of attention to Bukope, a comedy festival where all generations can laugh together."," he said.
Meanwhile, 'Bucope' will hold an opening performance at the BEXCO Auditorium on August 29 (Friday). A total of more than 100 comedians, including Korea's top comedians, overseas comedians and popular YouTube creators from nine countries, will attend the opening performance to provide more special time. In addition, the team of 『Gag Concert』, the fundamental program of Korean comedy, will decorate the opening performance, and Park Myung-soo, the owner of unique speech, will host the event to blow off the heat.
