Yonhap News

Comedian Park Soo-hong expressed his official position on the recent report 'Accused of Threats'.

Lin Do-Hyun-soo, a lawyer at the law firm who is in charge of Park Soo-hong's legal representation, said in a statement on the 30th that he has been informed of the complaint through media reports and has not yet received a complaint, stressing that he will respond firmly to the act of defaming Park Soo-hong with baseless and false claims.

According to the statement, Park Soo-hong filed a lawsuit in September last year claiming that a food company A used Park Soo-hong's face in advertisements without permission for more than a year, and the case is currently being heard by Seongnam Branch of the Suwon District Court. Park Soo-hong explained that `A did not accept the reconciliation decision to pay part of the model fee, and the manufacturers were also sued for unpaid payments.'

However, in response to A's recent sudden complaint against Park Soo-hong, saying, `It is incomprehensible to make such a claim two years later, and the intention is suspected.'

In particular, lawyer Do said, "A's threatening remarks were only heard by Park Soo-hong's legal representative in the past, not by Park Soo-hong himself, and it may be innocent to sue Park Soo-hong on the basis of this."," he stressed.

Finally, Park Soo-hong said "This case has nothing to do with Park Soo-hong, and tough legal measures will be considered for false claims and defamation."

According to the police on the 29th, A, the CEO of a food company, filed a complaint with the Gangnam Police Station on the 14th, claiming that he was threatened by Park Soo-hong.

In September 2023, Park Soo-hong's agency filed a lawsuit against A's company for a contract of about 500 million won against the Suwon District Court, claiming that he used Park's face for advertisement without permission.

Mr. A is said to argue that the lawsuit in question is "A partnership with Mr. Park" and is intended to earn a greater profit than the original agreement, such as demanding 5-10% of the total sales.

Mr. A's position is that the complaint is related to what happened in the course of the case.
