Writer Park Chun-Hugh wrote the plays and lyrics of musicals 'Bungee Jumping', 'Maybe a Happy Ending', 'Il Tenore'. He won the Composition/Composition Award at the 2013 'The Musical Awards' for 'Bungee Jumping', won the Playwriting/Composition Award at the 2018 'Korea Musical Awards' for 'Maybe Happy Ending', and won the Grand Prize at the 'Korea Musical Awards' held this year for 'Il Tenore'.
'Maybe a Happy Ending' marked a milestone in the history of Korean musicals in June by winning six awards (for work, script, composition/writing, directing, best actor, and stage design) at the Tony Awards, one of the four grand slams of American pop culture. In particular, it received a lot of attention as the first Tony Award for a creative musical started in Korea by a Korean creator.
Recently, he participated in an event called 「Dream of becoming a cultural powerhouse, Korea moving toward the world」 hosted by the Presidential Office, inviting cultural artists who have raised our culture to a world-class level.
Media LabSiso, which signed an exclusive contract with writer Park Cheon-Hyu, is an agency founded by comedian Song Eun-yi, and actors such as Bong Tae-gyu, Kim Sung-beom, Lim Hyung-joon, Jang Hang-jun, Kwon Il-yong, Kim Su-yong, Cho Hye-ryeon, Park So-ra and Hwang Jung-hye, as well as actors such as Bong Tae-gyu, Kim Sung-beom, Lim Hyung-joon, Kim Ki-ri, Cha Na-woo, Bae Je-gi, Ok Ja-yeon, Lee Da-eun, Choi Kang-hee and Jeon Mi-do.
Meanwhile, 'Maybe a Happy Ending' will hold a 10th anniversary performance at the Doosan Art Center Yeonggang Hall from October 30 to January 25 next year.
