A modern reinterpretation of Shakespeare's classic masterpiece `Julius Caesar" ended on the 20th. In the play, Yoo Seung-ho plays Brutus, who is in a dilemma of betraying his friend for the ideals of the republic. Son Ho-joon played the role of Julius Caesar, an absolute powerhouse. Caesar is the absolute leader of Rome, the ideal to create a new Rome, and an intoxicated figure in his power, but he faces the tragedy of being assassinated before taking the position of emperor.
This play was a work that imprinted Yoo Seung-ho's presence on stage. Having created his own Brutus based on thorough character analysis and research, he melted into the character with stronger vocalization and deeper acting skills, leading to the tension of the entire play, and instantly bringing the audience into the Roman era.
Yoo Seung-ho delicately embodied Brutus, an idealist and an inner conflict. He depicted the complex emotions constantly shaking between power and conviction with dense acting, and dominated the stage for the entire 90 minutes, leading the flow of the story with sharp yet restrained expression.
As the play progressed, the inner side of Brutus, who added depth, was meticulously captured. He maximized his immersion by vividly describing the emotions and complex psychology that fluctuate in anguish and determination, and the energy that fills the theater made it impossible to take my eyes off him for a moment.
In particular, Yoo Seung-ho personally showed his passion and sincerity for the play by digesting the 62nd performance in a one-cast from May 10 to July 20. Over and over again, Nong-ik performed enthusiastically and built the Brutus more three-dimensional, and his remarkable growth and development were enough to generate favorable reviews from the public and critics.
Caesar, embodied by Son Ho-joon, was desperate and lonely. After unraveling the human anxiety and anguish hidden behind power and dignity in detail, he delicately unfolded Caesar's complex emotional lines and three-dimensional aspects on stage.
Son Ho-joon created Caesar with his explosive energy and charisma. The weight of the most powerful man, which cannot be found as a laughing stock, made the audience hold their breath, and the high-quality acting skills and intense presence overwhelmed the stage and led to immersion.
The details of Son Ho-joon's Caesar were also alive. It was depicted as a living and breathing being, not just a political symbol, bringing the entire play to life, and in particular, the heavy vocalization and strong expressive power shown in this process were praised for firmly supporting the center of the narrative.
