Byun Young-hoon, a major disaster that killed seven helicopters while filming..Today (28th) 32nd anniversary

It's been 32 years since the late actor Byun Young-hoon left.

In 1993, Byun Young-hoon turned his back on the world. The deceased died after being brain-dead due to an unexpected accident while filming the movie.

Byun Young-hoon, who was filming the movie `A Woman on a Man,' was in a major disaster when a helicopter crashed.

At that time, six people, including Captain Choi and Director Son, were killed in the helicopter accident. And in the process, actor Byun Young-hoon (photo) fell into a brain-dead state.

At the time of the accident, the deceased had already stopped his heart and lung functions, and the entire organ, including the brain, was virtually unable to function properly. He passed away on August 28, 75 days after the accident, without getting up.

Byun Young-hoon, who was scheduled to show a new generation of lawyers with Hwang Shin-hye in a bickering love fight, was caught while filming the first scene of arriving by helicopter to have a onboard wedding with Hwang Shin-hye.

The helicopter carrying the KBS 2TV 'Entertainment Broadcast' team, which was trying to cover the film production team, flew unreasonably 200 meters downstream from the dock, and its tail wings came into contact with the water and crashed. It was for close-up filming.

However, of course, the delay in lifesaving time eventually led to a tragedy in which a total of seven people, including Byun Young-hoon, were killed.

Byun Young-hoon, who started as KBS's 13th talent in 1889 and made his face known through KBS1-TV's daily drama `Bong Seon-hwa under the Wool,' rose to stardom in 1992 with the MBC miniseries 'Fury Kingdom'.

To Byun Young-hoon 'Women over Men' is the movie's debut. On top of that, Byun Young-hoon was also appearing in KBS2 'Youth Theater', and the drama was almost over. However, due to the accident involving Byun, KBS had no choice but to replace Byun by selecting actor Yeon-mo, who was selected through a 250-1 competition ratio, through an open audition. At that time, viewers couldn't respond well to the actor's changed face.

Jeong Heung-sik, a lieutenant at the scene, recalled Byun Young-hoon's unfortunate accident on KBS2 "Relaxed".

Lieutenant Chung Heung-sik said, `When a fighter tries to jump from a bridge, it is almost a rescue if he reports it right away, but it is not easy to rescue if it falls from an unexpected situation. A helicopter crashed during a movie shooting, and about six people died at that time. I went into the helicopter and rescued one person, but I felt familiar after rescuing one person first. It was Byun Young-hoonMC Cho Young-gu, a junior, was also upset, saying, `Byun Young-hoon was a very popular actor at the time, but he died due to an accident of bad luck.'
