ILLIT Turns Freshmen in Campus Sitcom Debuting August 11

Members of the group ILLIT will try to act as sitcoms for the first time since their debut.

On the 6th, ILLIT (Yoona, Minju, Mocha, Wonhee, and Iroha) released the second teaser of the new self-content 'Genre is ILLIT - Introduction to Youth' (hereinafter 'Genre is ILLIT') on the team's official YouTube channel.

"Genre ILLIT" is a sitcom about new students from Ail University who have lived different lives and build friendships while living on campus. Five members, who turned into freshmen at Isle University, will show their different charms by playing the fresh youth.

The teaser video released on this day shows five characters with five different colors, which are short but strong in personality. Yoona is a theater film student armed with overflowing passion and joy, Minju is a fierce competitive physical education student, and Mocha is a top law student. In addition, Won-hee drew attention for her role as an art student with a whimsical charm, an early childhood education student who has no aggressive power but says everything.

The atmosphere of those gathered for the group assignment is unusual. Yoona and Minju are scrambling to appeal to each other to make a presentation, and Mocha quickly mediates. Eventually, conflicts arose between the five, and the video was finished, raising expectations for the main film.

ILLIT previously showed off a variety of skits through its own content, and attention is being paid to how he will perform in this sitcom. The visuals of the members, who showed their styles of campus looks such as purity and chic according to their characters, also add to the fun of seeing them.

The first episode of 'Genre ILLIT' will be released on the team's official YouTube channel at 8 p.m. on the 11th.

Meanwhile, ILLIT will hold a fan concert '2025 ILLIT GLITTER DAY IN JAPAN' at Pia Arena MM in Yokohama, Kanagawa Prefecture, Japan from the 10th to the 11th and meet with fans. They previously proved their popularity in the region by selling out tickets for general reserved seats for the previous round. Then, on September 1, Japan's first single 'Toki Yo Tomare' (original よ止まれ/Toki Yo Tomare) will be released.
