Min Hee-jin Lawsuit: Court Accepts KakaoTalk Logs

On the 22nd, the third hearing of the 12th Civil Affairs Department of the Seoul Central District Court held the third hearing of a 500 million won damages lawsuit filed by Source Music against former CEO Min.
Former representative Min protested that the 20-minute PT data submitted by Source Music at the second hearing date in May was illegal collection evidence, and the public PT was unfair. However, Source Music also criticized Min after reading Kakao Talk in person at a press conference in the past. Former representative Min's side said that the PT in this case would also be done first. When I got a disadvantageous Kakao Talk message, I challenged whether it was fair to ask for PT restrictions."
On this day, the court adopted the Kakaotalk data as evidence, saying, "Considering various circumstances, such as the person in charge giving the password, it is difficult to regard the case as a violation of the Communication Secret Protection Act."The public PT was not authorized.
The next anniversary will be held on November 7.
Source Music sued former CEO Min last year on charges of defamation, obstruction of business and insults. Source Music claimed that former CEO Min cast the members of New Jeans himself, and that Hive unilaterally violated his promise to debut New Jeans as the first girl group, and Source Music suffered serious damage by claiming that it neglected the members.
