'A new history of K-pop' Stray Kids announced their comeback.
On the 22nd, a press conference was held at Conrad Hotel in Yeouido-dong, Yeongdeungpo-gu, Seoul to commemorate the release of Stray Kids' fourth full-length album 'Karma'.
Bangchan "It's his first comeback of the year. I worked hard on the tour for 11 months. I think this album, which is very hard-working, will be a big gift for STAY (official fan club). I prepared it without any regrets" he said.
'Karma' is an album that contains Stray Kids' solid philosophy and growth narrative, which has been unshakable and has carved a smooth path despite countless external gaze and inner conflict.
CHANGBIN said, "The achievements we've made with STAYs and the fruits we've worked hard for have been positive."The Bank of Korea has been growing desperately, hitting its limits. The fruits of that growth are this album. a high-quality album."
The title song 'ceremony' is a combination of intense trap EDM and Bailey punk rhythm. It contains a message to celebrate the success achieved after patience and effort and the journey that has overcome numerous adversities faced in the process.
The music video features various sports genres under the concept of '2081 Karma Sports'. In particular, e-sports player Faker appeared at the end to attract attention.
FELIX commented "Thank you Faker for having fun filming the music video and it was an honor. If I have a chance, I want to meet Faker together and learn (the game)."
In addition, the album contains a total of 11 songs, including 'Beep Processing'Creed'Mess'in My Head'In Twist'Ponics'0801'Ghost'. Again, 3RACHA (Bang Chan Chang-han), a production team that has established Stray Kids' unique identity from their debut song "District 9", participated in the entire song.
Stray Kids is simply a team that is writing a new history of K-pop.
In 2022, six albums were ranked No. 1 on the U.S. Billboard main album chart, from ' 'Ordinary' to 'Maxident'5Star'5Star'5Star'Rockstar'Eight'Hap. This is the first record in the chart's 69-year history. In addition, from August last year to the 30th of last month, a total of 54 world tours 'Dominate' were held in 34 regions around the world to write the first and best record of K-pop. They set a new record for the largest and largest number of K-pop performances ever (120,000 seats for two performances) at the Stade de France in Paris. It also succeeded in entering K-pop for the first time in five of the 10 venues on the North American tour, including Rogers Stadium in Toronto.
Hyun-jin "It was my first stadium-scale performance, so I practiced with nervousness. I was grateful to STAY who loved us in this faraway country and thought I should work harder on the stage. If you think of one thing right before you die, I think it's STAY's eyes looking at us at this concert hall"He confessed.
In particular, on July 18 and 19 (local time), the club held two 'Dominate' at Tottenham Hotspur Stadium in London, England. Tottenham was a place where soccer player Son Heung-min was involved, so not only Stray Kids but also soccer fans were paying attention.
Changbin "It was a more meaningful and unforgettable moment because I usually like soccer. When I went to the stadium, I took a lot of pictures and bought a uniform because I was fascinated. I was happy to achieve my dream with the members."
In this way, Stray Kids celebrated their eighth year of debut by showing the standard of 'staged growth'.
Chang-bin said "When I look back on the eight years, I'm so grateful for this moment. It's loved so much that it's unbelievable. At the beginning of our debut, we had a lot of worries about whether the music we were doing was right or what to do. There were also many bad posts. However, it seems that the members and fans trusted each other and continued with confidence. I think that stubbornness worked well for us`There were many twists and turns, but they leaned on each other and became adults with strong roots. I want to stay healthy and be together for a long time in the future.
Stray Kids will release 'Karma' at 1 p.m. that day and begin their activities in earnest.
Bang-chan "My goal is to promote our music more widely. I want to show good results through this album. I want to let the world know about our musicality and the colors of Stray KidsHyunjin said, "Records are important, but I want to continue to enjoy it and live crazy about the music we make." he said.
