According to an SBS report on the 19th, the Jungbu Police Station in Seoul booked Choi Jung-won on charges of violating the 「Act on Punishment of Stalking Crimes」 on the 16th.
Choi Jung-won is said to have carried a weapon to the woman's home he knew and acted threateningly.
The police applied for emergency measures for the safety of the victims, and the Seoul Central District Court approved it on the 18th.
The court judged that "the matter is urgent, and there is a concern that stalking may continue and repeat.""
Emergency measures limit the access of the perpetrator to within 100m and prohibit contact through all means of telecommunication such as mobile phones and SNS.
Violation of this will result in imprisonment for up to one year or a fine of up to 10 million won.
Police are currently investigating Choi Jung-won for the specific motive and details of the incident.
