Chairman Bang is accused of having existing investors, including venture capital, hand over their shares to a special purpose corporation (SPC) established by a private equity fund related to him (fraudulent fraud under the Capital Markets Act), after saying to existing investors, including venture capital, in 2019 before going public. Investors who believed the remarks sold their holdings, but suspicions were raised that Hive was already in the process of pre-IPO process at the time.
Police believe Bang took 30 percent of the gains from the stock sale from a private equity fund through the process, earning about 190 billion won in unfair gains.
The case began with intelligence at the end of last year, and a special judicial police officer at the Financial Supervisory Service, under the direction of the prosecution, is also conducting a separate investigation.
On the other hand, Hive's position is that there are no violations of related laws and regulations and there is no obligation to report. Chairman Bang also completely denies the allegations, saying, `We have not provided false information to early investors, and the terms of profit distribution are also based on the investor's proposal.'
Last August, I emailed all of my employees to see if they missed anything in the growth process, and I'm committed to protecting Hive from harm to artists and staff"I will continue to investigate faithfully.", he also said.
