KBS 2TV's new Saturday miniseries 'The Last Summer' (directed by Min Yeon-hong / script Jeon Yu-ri / produced by Monster Union, Slingshot Studio), which is scheduled to premiere at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, November 1, is a remodeled romance drama that unfolds when a man and a woman, who have been friends since childhood, face the truth of their first love hidden in Pandora's box.
Choi Sung-eun played the role of Song Ha-kyung, who quit medical school in the play and became a public official in the construction of Patan-myeon, which borders the DMZ. Hakyung, also known as 'Dr. Song' from Pathan-myeon, is no place that has not been touched by street trees, electric poles, and local dogs. They shout 'Departan' in words, but they always take the lead in solving it when something happens to the people. It piques curiosity as to why she wants to leave this place so badly.
While Choi Sung-eun is curious about the narrative of 'Song Ha-kyung', a still released today (11th) draws attention as it contains various moments of Ha-kyung. Ha-kyung rides a bicycle to work in a neighborhood where gunshots ring out, and she has a work-related conversation with her counterpart with her employee ID card around her neck when she goes to Pacheon, causing interest. Hakyung's windy company life in the future will add vitality to the drama.
In another still, Ha-kyung's complex eyes, which are unknown whether it is anger or sadness, draw attention. Ha-kyung, who faced Baek Do-ha (Lee Jae-wook), who had moved away two years ago due to some kind of thing, feels complex and subtle emotions. In addition, Ha-kyung, who lived next door to the peanut house with the Doha family as a child, struggles to sell the house as soon as possible, but the sudden emergence of Doha disrupted her plans and depicts an exciting development.
As such, Choi Sung-eun is expected to delicately express Ha-kyung's complex emotional line of reuniting Doha, who was a summer guest, in the face of collapse again. On top of that, Tiki-taka chemistry, which will be shown in a bickering with Doha, is expected to further enhance the charm of the character 'Song Ha-kyung'.
On the other hand, "The Last Summer" is a collaboration between Jeon Yu-ri, who has been recognized for her solid writing skills through "Keith Six Sense" and "Radio Romance" and director Min Yeon-hong, who directed "They Were" series and "Insider".
KBS 2TV's new Saturday miniseries 'The Last Summer' will premiere at 9:20 p.m. on Saturday, November 1.
