Asia's first and largest international comedy festival 'The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF)' wrapped up its 10-day journey successfully.
The 13th Busan International Comedy Festival (BICF)' (hereinafter 'Bukoffe') opened a spectacular opening performance on August 29 (Friday) with a sold-out opening performance. The 13th 'Bucope', which involved 52 teams from nine countries, was a colorful stage with 89th episodes, with Busan citizens as well as other regions and foreign audiences.
On the 7th (yesterday), prior to the closing performance, 'theatrical performance' marked the end of the theater performance. At 1 p.m. and 4 p.m., a total of six people participated in the 「Hi-geuk-hoi」 held at the Ocean Hall on the second floor of the Busan Bank headquarters. Comedians Shin Yoon-seung and Park Min-sung of YouTube"Hi-geuk-Innes" with 2 million subscribers, Jang Yoon-seok and Lim Jong-hyuk of"Ki-kul-kil-hoi" with 600,000 subscribers, Lim Sun-yang of the Women's Power"Lady Action" and Lim Seul-gi." They sparked laughter from the audience with realistic skit comedies such as a 'Say Anything Party' corner where conversations are not connected and random words are uttered. The performance, which featured all the charming comedians, ended with a different smile on the audience.
At 6 p.m. on the same day, the closing performance was continued at the Busan Cultural Center Grand Theater with the hosting of Lee Hong-ryul, the godfather of comedy. The first part was decorated with a hybrid stage 'I'm a Dog Singer' where Korea's representative comedians cross songs and comedies, and the second part was an award ceremony. The stage "I'm a Dog Singer" opened with a stage where trotters, who dominate both comedy and music, exploded with excitement by Lee Sang-ho and Lee Sang-min, raising the tension of the scene. Then, versatile comedian Son Heon-soo, talented Park Sung-ho, trot fairies' wink Kang Joo-hee and Kang Seung-hee, beautiful trot singer Kim Na-hee, three ugly brothers Park Hwi-soon, Oh Jung-tae, and Oh Ji-heon took the stage to raise laughter above the navel with singing and talking. In addition, Kim Jae-wook, a singer under the name of Kim Jae-long, decorated his last stage, and a total of seven teams were fully responsible for the atmosphere of the scene. Through their albums and stages, real dog singers with gags and singing skills, who were recognized as real 'singers', showed the essence of hybrid performances that transcended pleasant talking and explosive performances. They presented all-time fan service to the audience by coming down the stage and taking pictures, and distributing their own goods such as CDs and fans as gifts.
In the second part, the 'Comedy Awards' were held after a video screening summarizing the 10-day run of the 13th 'Bucope'. The "Unknown Sea Award" presented to comedians who are pioneering new fields was awarded by the SOOP Live Gag Talk Show "Sulpisod" team. Streamer Kim Soon-ji "It's an honor to be able to receive the first award with the episode team. Thank you very much,' he said in his heartfelt acceptance speech.
The 'Street King Award' presented to the team that showed the best performance among the 'Comedy Open Concert' and 'Comedy Street' performances held on the streets across Busan went to the 'fire album(Lee Se-min, Kim Kwan-hee, Lee Sae-bom, Sasha, Kim Do-won, Baek In-cheol). The nation's best fire show 'Fire Album' was able to perform happily in hot cheers and applause through the VCR. The "Yeol Sea Award" given to the most popular and hot team at the festival was given by the "An Youngmi Show: The Whole Spectator Show". Ahn Young-mi, who announced her successful return after giving birth through this performance, said, "I am so grateful to receive the Yeolbaesang Award, which is given only to popular teams. The 'The Ultimate Japan Comedy Show' won the 'Laughing Sea' award given to a foreign performer who presented the best comedy work. Finally, the 'Busan Sea Award' presented to domestic comedy works that presented the best performance was won by the team 'Gag Concert (Shin Yoon-seung, Jo Su-yeon, Song Pil-geun, Na Hyun-young, Kim Young-hee, Jeong Beom-gyun, Lee Soo-kyung, Na Hyun-young, Oh Jung-yul, Hong Hyun-ho, Yoon Seung-hyun, Yoo Yeon-jo, etc.). Executive Chairman Kim Joon-ho and Director Kim Dae-hee made a surprise appearance for the proxy award of the 'Gag Concert' team, and the two have the record of the most appearances at the Gag Concert. At the end of the closing performance, Kim Jun-ho, Kim Dae-hee, and Lee Hong-ryul met the audience with "Busan Sea! A sea of laughter!We concluded the 10-day journey by shouting ". Not only the award-winning teams, but also everyone presented a meaningful time to the audience with the best performance in their respective positions. The 13th 'Bucope', which broke the summer heat with various stages that guaranteed laughter, showed the true value of K-comedy and established itself as an indispensable festival, achieving a successful ending.
