DAY6, who has endured 10 years, paid 3,600 won for the first settlement of a tearful confession

On the 10th anniversary of their debut, the band DAY6 shed tears, recalling the past time when they endured a long period of obscurity and saw the light.

Day6 (Sungjin, Young K, Wonpil, and Dowoon) appeared on tvN's entertainment show 『You Quiz on the Block』, which aired on the 10th, to share their honest stories. DAY6, which debuted on September 7, 2015 with 'Congratulations', attracted attention as JYP Entertainment's first band, and has recently enjoyed its second heyday with 'You Were Beautiful' and sold out all the tickets for its solo concert.

But it wasn't an easy start. The members didn't even think about the band at the time of joining the company"I entered the company just because I liked singing and dancing," he said. Young-K recalled, "'Do you know how to play the guitar?' during backflip practice, and from that day on, he became a band member.'" Sung-jin confessed, "'I've been doing the basic choreography for three years, but the teacher said that 'he doesn't have dance' and `I first caught the guitar right before my debut.'

Three years after the band's debut, the members devoted themselves to musical instruments and composing. When Yoo Jae-suk asked "I heard you practiced 14 hours a day, more than 100 hours a week", Young K said "I didn't know what to do, so I took a lot of time for now."Then, I first experienced another blister in the blister." I recalled the hard practice process.

However, the reality was harsh even after the debut. Sung-jin had a big dream: "'Let's be on the stage at the Super Bowl halftime show one day' but he faced reality after his debut"The first settlement was 3,600 won"It shocked me by saying.

Sungjin "At that time, cup noodles cost about 600 won. So I thought it would be okay if we save ourselves and buy six a month. I was a leader, but I got pocket money from my parents and bought them. I really didn't have any money."

Eventually, Day6 moved on its own to raise awareness. "My goal was to debut at first, but when I debuted, there was nothing," Sung-jin said. "Let's look at it for a long time and do our best. I tried to get things done myself, take care of the people around me, and plant good awareness."

Young K said "I thought it would be brilliant and colorful if I debuted at JYP, but there were only one or two articles."How much I wanted to know, I carried a JYP shopping bag. 'Is there a band like this in JYP?I've heard so many times that '

Since then, DAY6 has made 12 comebacks a year and released more than 25 self-composed songs, gradually making its name known. However, when it began to gain recognition, leader Sungjin declared a suspension of his activities, and the members' enlistment in the military led to a four-year hiatus.

The anxiety of the hiatus lingered deeply on all the members. Wonpil said "If you weren't anxious, you'd be lying" "But I held out with the belief that one day we'd get together again." Dowoon said "I didn't have anything to do while the brothers were resting. I didn't enjoy playing the drums as much as I used to. `I realized that I was happy to play drums in DAY6' he confessed.

Wonpil "It was so hard, but we kept 'We'll get together someday. DAY6 must go on. I can't help but not do this. We held on with the thought that 'what a waste of us ' recalled.

Young K says "Don't you get forgotten as time goes by?" Don't you have to find someone to come back? "I wanted to go up once. He kept showing his face with the mind that 'I have to do something' and 'We're here' We continued to work to promote the group Day6."

After such efforts, 'You Were Beautiful' and 'So That You Could Be a Page' succeeded in reverse, and became a favorite song of all generations. Dowoon said "It's not a song I made, but I've always been confident. When I saw the name on the chart, I thought 'I knew this would happen'," he said, expressing his emotion.

Young K is "I'm happiest right now. I feel like I'm living my dream now. I'm happy to do what I want to do, and to unfold and move on."

Wonpil comforted himself by recalling the past 10 years. He said "You're doing great. Don't worry about it. Even if it doesn't work out..," and eventually wept.

He couldn't stop crying, saying, `The memories of the past 10 years just come to mind.' Wonpil, who barely calmed down, said "You are doing well even if you believe in yourself and shake it around you, so if you walk firmly, a good day will surely come." Don't give up because there are many good people next to you. You can go there. Just go straight..." he told himself.

Finally, the members agreed that "'DAY6 is home to us.'" "A place to go back, an indispensable being" "Thank you for holding each other in," he said with a heartfelt greeting.
