'Architecture-Space Traveler' Hong Jin-kyung made a pilgrimage to Germany's legendary design school online, raising his enthusiasm for learning.

MBC's liberal arts program 'Architecture-Space Traveler' (directed by So Hyung-joon Cho, Sung Seung-min/writer Nam Soo-hee/hereinafter 'Architecture with a Reason'), which aired on the 9th, depicts architect Yoo Hyun-joon, cartoonist Kim Poong, and broadcaster Daniel Lindemann's journey to find the architecture of the German twist 'HIP' which is famous for the'no-jam country'. The 'fun' aspect of German architecture, which we did not know, was illuminated in a variety of ways, drawing attention from viewers.

Hipsters from all over the world were gathering in Berlin, Germany, which has emerged as a mecca for techno.

Daniel Lindemann surprised everyone by saying that "about 20% of Berlin's population is cultural and artistic workers" and that "Techno has established itself as a culture, and Berlin Techno has been listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 2024.

In response, Hong Jin-kyung embarrassed the cast members by revealing, "'One of my dreams is to have my daughter Lael as a DJ in Berlin.'"

Then Jeon Hyun-moo said, "Why all of a sudden? You want to enter the club easily?", and the studio became a sea of laughter.

As for the reason, Hong Jin-kyung "Isn't it so cool?" What do you mean, a Berlin DJ!," he said, drawing attention.

Kim Poong drew complaints by making a fashion irrational move to catch up with Berlin hip. Daniel Lindemann drew laughter by pointing out that Berlin is like a poorly dressed tourist because it is hip.

Without dampening his momentum, Kim Poong guided him to Berlin's representative art alley 'House Schwarzenberg', saying, `This is a place where people who know hip must go.' It was originally a Nazi-era industrial building, filled with graffiti on all sides, but it has been a famous photo spot that has been reborn as a cultural space by artists since 1995. In this space where history and subculture coexist, Yoo Hyun-jun is like a liberating sphere of instinct. I think I can hear a lot of people shouting" added an interpretation.

Another nearby hip place 'Harkeshire Hoppe' caught the eye with a structure in which eight different lieutenants were connected. It was unique that independent lieutenants led to each other's passage, creating synergy. Daniel Lindemann, a German, was also amazed by the fact that `I've never seen such a connected midshipman.' Yoo Hyun-jun explained why the Hakeshire Hoefe is architecturally special. It shows the possibility of becoming an ideal urban space where you can feel a sense of belonging to the community while living alone in an era of aging and increasing single-person households.

The three then headed to Berlin's Parisian Square. Buildings in Paris Square were built with strict construction methods and showed a unified appearance. Among them, DZ Bank was surprised by its simple appearance and colorful interior that turned around. The architect who designed DZ Bank was Frank Gehry, a modern dismantling architect. Kim Poong is completely different from the outside in his planum design that stimulates viewers' imagination. It feels like it has entered the stomach of a giant creature," he said. Jeon Hyun-moo, who was appreciated in the VCR, put these artistic things in a bank that pursues practicality in a building like a piece of art. The idea is so shocking.'

Kim Poong, an art major, is on his life bucket list ahead of his visit to the last space, the 'Holy Land of Architectural Art.' He said he was going to Germany because of this place,' architect Yoo Hyun-jun said in emotion, `For me, it feels like pilgrimage to the Holy Land.' They headed for the legendary design school 'Bauhaus'. Founded in 1919, Bauhaus closed after 14 years due to Nazi repression, but its innovative philosophy influenced numerous fields, including modern design, furniture, typography, and architecture. In particular, Bauhaus has shown the essence of modernist design since 100 years ago based on the principle that "form follows function."

Hong Jin-kyung, who was watching Bauhaus on a VCR, said, `I thought I wanted to go back to school.' "I don't think I knew what to learn when I was young," he said, expressing his desire to become a "descendants of the Bauhaus(?)". Previously, Jeon Hyun-moo, who said he did not know what Bauhaus was doing, was competitive and bickered, responding "I'm the descendant of Bauhaus." Kim Poong dissuaded Bauhaus by dissuading him by saying, `Please don't put him on top.' As for why Bauhaus is still influential, Yoo thinks it is maintained for a long time when he leaves the building "What do we do?" The building seems to be acting as a focal point, he explained, giving everyone a nod.

Meanwhile, MBC 'The Reasoned Architecture-Space Traveler', which airs every Tuesday at 9 p.m., is a new concept architectural talk show that tells stories that cross various fields such as history, culture, economy, art, and science through architecture. Star architect Yoo Hyun-joon and Jeon Hyun-moo, Hong Jin-kyung and Park Sun-young will appear.
