Broadcaster Kim Na-young practiced sharing by donating hematopoietic stem cells.

On Aug. 31, Kim Na-young posted a video on her YouTube channel 'Kim Na-young's nofilter TV'Hematopoietic stem cell donation vlog (lucky letter received after waiting 10 years)'.

The video showed the hematopoietic stem cell donation process. Kim Na-young registered as a donor by chance more than 10 years ago, and recently received a letter from the hematopoietic stem cell bank saying there was a patient who matched my genes," he said, announcing a meaningful story.

The probability of hematopoietic stem cells matching others is extremely low, so it is known that there were less than 10 matches in Korea. Kim Na-young readily decided to donate, saying, `I'm very lucky and very happy that someone who needs my blood appeared.'

He then wore patient clothes and revealed the collection process himself, saying it is a precious opportunity that can only be done once in a lifetime. If my blood can save someone's life, it's well worth it."

After the donation, Kim Na-young once again expressed her feelings on Instagram. "I didn't know it was such a happy thing to be able to cheer for someone I didn't know by name or face"Kim Na-young said, "I didn't even know that it was this thankful and happy to be able to share it.'

He said "When I was having a hard time, I received a lot of support. I think I've lived with those cheers. I let go of all those cheers. With hematopoietic stem cells, I will share all the happiness, love, corridor support, and joy that have been stuck with me to the beneficiaries," he said.

Then "If there are people who want to be courageous after receiving a lucky letter, I would like to say this. This sharing was one of the happiest and happiest things for me," he said, asking for interest and participation in hematopoietic stem cell donation.

Hematopoietic stem cell transplantation is used to treat intractable blood diseases such as leukemia and regenerative anemia. It is said that the probability of leading to actual transplantation is only about 10% compared to the enrollment.
