Park Ji-hyun met with Sports Chosun at a cafe in Jongno-gu, Seoul on the morning of the 25th and interviewed the original Netflix series 'Eunjung and Sangyeon' (played by Song Hye-jin, directed by Cho Young-min). Park Ji-hyun "I got the script during the movie shoot and I enjoyed it so much. I read it four times, and I enjoyed it while immersed in it from the perspective of the viewer, even though it is my work." "From the beginning, I felt sorry for Sang-yeon, and I think every character has a reason and justification, so when I received the script of Sang-yeon, I should cover him more." I need to persuade this friend' had a big heart. I was worried about that. When viewers saw this work, they thought they wanted Sangyeon to be on their side, and they thought that there would be people who don't understand Sangyeon's actions and words, so they acted, saying, `I should protect this child, too.'."
After the release of Eunjung and Sangyeon, some viewers viewed Cheon Sang-yeon's character from a critical perspective. Park Ji-hyun said, `I didn't think such a reaction would come out, so I thought that in order for this drama to be a little more meaningful, everyone needs to understand the character Eun-jung and the character Sang-yeon to reach the end together. Don't things about convincing the character that I have to take on the performance and doing bad words and bad things come out in reverse order. I wanted people to understand in those things."
Park Ji-hyun had fun playing Cheon Sang-yeon, who has a big emotional amplitude. He "I had so much fun while filming. A 騁 year when you're enjoying a big part of your emotions? Sangyeon has a big narrative, and I thought it was so good. Based on such a narrative, it was fun to play a role with a wide range of emotions, and the dialogue, the situation, and the emotions were so diverse. So for me, it felt like it was really laid out, and it felt like it was really watery. The director has worked with him, and the filming team and the lighting team also like Brahms?' It was a team. The scene was comfortable, and (Kim) Go-eun supported me so well and led me, so I was with an actor who I could trust and entrust everything to, so I think it was a scene where I could do my acting to my heart's content without much worry. "I said, "Wouldn't I be excessive or would I be insufficient?" It was a scene where I didn't have to worry at all."
This work is what gave Park Ji-hyun the attribution of Kim Go-eun. Park Ji-hyun thinks that through this work, Kim Go-eun has been gifted. I've been acting with many seniors and colleagues so far, but no one has ever had such an impact on my life. I thought it was a blessing from heaven to be able to have such a close relationship with such a long breath. After doing it, I think I met someone who could change my life. In a way, it can be said that it is the turning point of my acting life, and in the past, I thought that if I imitate everything Ko-eun does in the field, wouldn't I be able to become like that person. I respected him so much, and I thought vaguely that I could become an actor like that."
When I saw the finished performance after the work was released, I thought 'I can't win' Just the existence of this person is a blessing to the Republic of Korea. It is a blessing not only for Korea, but also for the film, drama, and art world, and it seems to mean more than Kim Sang-hak to Park Ji-hyun. I don't know what Goeun will think of me, but I think she is like my mentor. I thought there was no one who fully accepted and understood me until now. Moreover, I thought my parents and family didn't do that either, but there was no one who could let me be who I was, accept me when I was, and keep me away when I was away, but Go-eun did it for me. If you stand in front of your sister, you can't help but be like that. The way Sangyeon looks at Eunjung is different from the way I look at her, but I don't dare to blame her, but I think I only did envy, admiration, and respect."
Unveiled on the 12th, 'Eunjung and Sangyeon' tells the story of two friends who like and admire each other the most at every moment, and who are jealous and hateful and face all the time of Eunjung and Sangyeon. Park Ji-hyun played Cheon Sang-yeon, who asks Ryu Eun-jung (Kim Go-eun) to accompany her for the last time in her life in the play, expressing the deep inside of her 20s, 30s, and 40s through acting.
