IU’s pop-up store Found at Eight concluded on a high note, receiving enthusiastic support from fans.
The pop-up, held from September 10 to 21 at The Hyundai Seoul’s 5th floor Epic Seoul, was designed to deliver “a sparkling story that lingers in the heart” to her fandom UAENA. Operated on a free pre-reservation system, the event sold out all time slots, creating buzz from the start. Combining IU’s music, photos, lyrics, and the 8th fan club mascot “Ailee-an,” the exhibition and merchandise offered fans a truly unforgettable experience.
The space featured a variety of themed zones. At the Main Photo Zone, an “Ailee-an” sculpture and a telescope object shaped like the number 8 invited visitors to enjoy animations. The Our World Zone captured the cosmic connection between IU and UAENA. The Infinity Library Zone displayed past album covers and related props, while the Bye, Summer Zone showcased IU’s handwritten lyrics and the guitar used in last year’s concert, arranged like a Milky Way—moving fans deeply.
From September 18, coinciding with IU’s 17th debut anniversary, a special exhibition was added. Balloons and decorations symbolizing “17” were installed in the Main Photo Zone, and previously unreleased Polaroid photos from the shoot for her remake album Kkot-Galpi 3 were revealed in the Infinity Library Zone, adding further meaning for fans.
Visitors also enjoyed an interactive event: upon entry, they received special stationery featuring a letter from IU. Fans searched for answers hidden throughout the exhibits to complete the exchange letter, while the final Love Poem Zone offered space to leave replies back to IU. On-site areas also allowed fans to view and purchase merchandise directly.
Throughout the venue, IU’s real voice played messages to fans, such as, “Have a happy day! Thank you for coming,” creating an even more intimate and special atmosphere. On September 20, IU herself visited the pop-up store, and photos and videos posted on her official social media delighted fans further.
Meanwhile, IU held her fan meeting 2025 IU FAN MEET-UP [Bye, Summer] on September 13 and 14, spending meaningful time with fans. A touching moment went viral when she approached wheelchair-seated audience members during the encore, singing and holding their hands. Recently, to mark her debut anniversary, IU also donated ₩200 million under the name IUana (IU + UAENA) to support vulnerable groups, once again showing her signature “IU-style fan love.”
Her new song Bye, Summer continues to top domestic and international charts, while IU is currently filming her upcoming drama The Grand Prince of the 21st Century.
