Jeon Yu-seong, the gag godfather, died today (25th) due to worsening lung pneumothorax



Comedian Jeon Yu-seong has passed away. He was 76.

According to the Korea Broadcasting Comedian Association on the 25th, Jeon Yu-sung died at 9:05 p.m. that day.

Jeon Yu-seong reportedly closed his eyes at Chonbuk National University Hospital, where he was hospitalized due to worsening pulmonary pneumothorax symptoms.




Jeon Yu-seong underwent pneumothorax-related procedures in early July, but she recently visited the hospital again due to persistent symptoms of shortness of breath, but eventually failed to recover and ended her life.

For the convenience of the mourners, the bereaved families and the Comedy Association are discussing moving funeral homes to Seoul, including Hyundai Asan Hospital, instead of Chonbuk National University Hospital.

Meanwhile, Jeon Yu-seong debuted as a TBC broadcast writer in 1969. He later turned into a comedian and appeared in popular programs such as `Humor No. 1'`Show Video Jockey```Gag Concert```. In particular, he was also known as the first person to use the word 'Gagman'.
